Home Practise Tool

Virtual Music Stand is aimed at being a low-cost, home practise tool for musicians. It doesn’t require any special hardware. You simply place a laptop, mouse or keyboard on the floor and use that as a footswitch to scroll your music.

Automatic Scrolling

If you use a metronome to practise, you can use the built in visual or audible metronome and tie the points at which you scroll the music to a metronome beat. Once you’ve done that, you don’t even need to use a footswitch. Virtual Music Stand will know when to scroll automatically. As you improve your piece and speed up the metronome, the scrolling keeps up with you.

Travel Companion

When you use Virtual Music Stand, there’s no more need to carry around and search through several pages of paper music. All your music is stored in one place. It’s an ideal travel companion. You can even annotate your scores in exactly the same way as you would with paper.

Much Easier to See

Virtual Music Stand also makes music much easier to see. Typically, a computer monitor is much larger than the traditional paper score. Virtual Music Stand uses the full width of your monitor to display your music so it’s much easier to read.

Import and Slow Down Recordings

Ever heard a recording of a piece of music you wanted to play? Now you can store that music with your Virtual Music Stand score. You can split it up into the parts that interest you, and even slow them down to hear how they were played. You can even display your score and play along with the recording.
